40 Years MinebeaMitsumiWith our unity, we create a new sustainable world

Regarding the 40th anniversary of MinebeaMitsumi Group (Thailand), we’ve conducted a cooperate social responsibility activity under the topic “The Great Passion to Green Sustainability Society” by organizing an environmental initiative “40 Years MinebeaMitsumi With our unity, we create a new sustainable world”,which was held at Wang Phloeng national reserved forest, Muang Kom and Lamnarai forest, Amphoe Chai Badan, Lopburi, where could be considered a the main source of Pasak river.

Dated August 6, 2022, the management team, led by Ms. Sunee Cherdchucharti, Group Executive Officer, Director of NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd., Mr.Surapol Klinphan, Director of Reforestation Promotion, Forest Resource Management Office 5 (Saraburi), Royal Forest Department, Ministry of  Natural Resources and Environment, and a group of  250 employees from NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. together with representative from Khao Laem Sub District Administration Office, Amphoe Chai Badan, Lopburi  had participated in trees planting included Spanish cherry, Afzelia xylocarpa (Kurz) Craib, Teak and Pterocarpus macrocarpus, which were planted in the area of  6,400 square meters. Also there were 2 dikes built to preserve the abundance of nature and to increase biodiversity in our forests. The activity aims to help absorb greenhouse gas, which is affecting the climate change.

The initiative includes a 10 years long term plan for building fire barrier, plant nursery, office, and taking care of the forest in the initiative area of 8,000 square meters. Throughout the initiative lifetime, the forest will absorb approximately 4,750 ton CO2 equivalent, which is one way leading us to a Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero GHG Emission organization as in our policy described that with CO2 emissions from electricity usage per unit of production, Reduce by 30% in 2031 (2574 B.E.). Last but not least, the Company has a plan to participate in the project T-VER to verify carbon credit in the future.
