Audit for the Renewal of the Thai Labor Standard Certification (TLS 8001-2020, New Version)
NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd., including the Bang Pa-in, Ayutthaya, Navanakorn, Rojana, Banwa 1, and Lopburi plants, conducted an audit for the renewal of the Thai Labor Standard Certification (TLS 8001, New Version) on January 10–11, 12–13, 14, 17–18, 19–20, and February 1–2, 2022, respectively.
The audit was carried out by TÜV SÜD (Thailand) Co., Ltd. as the external auditing organization.
This assessment was conducted under the Thai Labor Standard TLS 8001 New Version, which requires establishments to implement additional measures, such as providing preventive and corrective actions against workplace violence and allowing female employees time to express breast milk during working hours without any wage deduction, among others.
The audit was successfully completed with full cooperation and support from all related departments, while strictly complying with COVID-19 preventive measures, ensuring a smooth assessment process. The results confirmed that all plants fully complied with the requirements of the Thai Labor Standard TLS 8001.
The Thai Labor Standard (TLS 8001) was developed by the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labor, with the objective of promoting fair labor practices within workplaces. The standard covers key aspects of employee welfare, including fair compensation, benefits, working hours, holidays, and prevention of workplace violence.
The MinebeaMitsumi Group (Thailand) recognizes the importance of employee well-being and has continuously implemented this standard within its operations, maintaining certification since 2003 to the present.
