MinebeaMitsumi Group (Thailand) Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for “Minebea Super Solar Power Plant Lopburi (MSSP-LPB)” Project, Driving Toward Carbon Neutrality

On April 9, 2026, Mr. Yoshihiro Sakanushi, President of MinebeaMitsumi Group (Thailand), presided over the groundbreaking and piling ceremony for the Minebea Super Solar Power Plant Lopburi (MSSP-LPB) project at the Lopburi plant. The event was attended by senior executives from both MinebeaMitsumi Group and Super Energy Corporation Public Company Limited.
The project is a collaboration between MinebeaMitsumi Group (Thailand) and Super Energy Corporation Public Company Limited, operated under the joint venture "Minebea Super Solar Power Co., Ltd. (MSSP)." The initiative is supported by the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) and is implemented under the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), a bilateral cooperation framework between the governments of Thailand and Japan.
Project Highlights:
- Solar Power Capacity: 48 Megawatts (48MW)
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS): 60 Megawatt-hours (60MWh)
- Objective: To generate clean energy for the operations of NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd., Lopburi Plant.
