Notice of a Basic Agreement Regarding Minebea’s Share Purchases of Moatech

Minebea Co., Ltd. (“Minebea”) hereby announces that on March, 23, 2012, its Board of Directors has reached an agreement with Moatech Co, Ltd. (“Moatech”) and its principal shareholders to purchase the majority of shares of Moatech, through the subscription of new shares via third-party allotment, and the purchase of treasury shares and shares held by the principal shareholders of Moatech.

On March 1, 2012, NMB – Minebea Thai Ltd. has been honored by the National Office for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, received a plaque for outstanding organizations to promote careers and employment for people with disabilities from the Minister of Social Development and Human Security.

Minebea Holds the Groundbreaking Ceremony of a New Small Motor Plant in Cambodia

At 8:30 am local time (10:30 am Japan time) on Tuesday, May 24, Minebea Co., Ltd. (“Minebea” or the “Company”) held the groundbreaking ceremony of a new plant for small-sized motors (first stage construction work) at its own industrial site within the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (the “PPSEZ”). The ceremony was carried out with approx. 300 persons in attendance—including H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister Attached to Prime Minister, Secretary General of Council for the Development of Cambodia and H.E. Masafumi KUROKI, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Cambodia.
