WEEE Can Do project Minebea & Nokia

Nokia joined with Minebea Group of Companies (Thailand), a leading manufacturer of electrical components, launched ‘WEEE Can Do project’ to promote mobile phones recycle among Minebea employees from today to September 13, 2012.
“Since 2008 that Nokia has started our mobile phones recycling campaign, more and more people have sent their mobile phones for recycling each year. This year, Nokia aims to promote mobile recycling among those who have high awareness on recycle like employees in leading manufacturers. As a result, Nokia has joined hands with Minebea, world’s leading manufacturer of electrical components, to promote mobile phones recycling among Minebea employees, families, and surrounding communities.” said Nontawan Sindhvananda, Head of Marketing, Nokia Thailand and Emerging Asia.
Minebea will place take-back boxes within its plants for employees to drop off their mobile phones and accessories for recycling. There are also placards at the back of 300 company buses to promote the recycling within surrounding communities.
