Re-Certified Audits to Thai Labor Standard : TLS8001-2020 (New Version)

NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. – Bang Pa-in, Ayutthaya, Navanakorn, Rojana, Ban Wa1 and Lopburi factories – conducted re-certified audits to Thai Labor Standard or TLS8001 on 10-11, 12-13, 14, 17-18, 19-20 January 2022 and 1-2 February 2022, respectively, in order to renew validity periods for their existing certificates. The audits were performed by third party auditors from TUV SUD (Thailand) Co., Ltd. under new version of the standard consisting of some newly additional requirements. For example, the company has to establish measures to prevent and ease workplace violence, and has also to arrange sufficient period of time for female employees to pump and store breast milk for their child without wage deduction in compensation of such arranged period of time. During the audit, all concerned divisions gave kind cooperation and support, and all participants complied with COVID-19 preventive measures strictly, thus it was finished smoothly. According to final results, it was found that all factories’ operations were in compliance with the requirements of the TLS8001 standard in all aspects.

The Thai Labor Standard or TLS8001 was established by the Office of Labor Protection and Welfare, Labor Ministry, with the purpose to be adapted by entrepreneurs to their operations; its requirements cover significant matters concerning labor treatment such as remunerations, welfares, working day and holidays, prevention and ease of workplace violence. As MinebeaMitsumi Group (Thailand) realizes appropriate treatment over its valued employees, it has been implementing the standard to its operations and also certified continuously since 2003 so far.
